Once a Caregiver, Always a Caregiver

For me, the role of caregiver stays with you long after the completion of the role. It is similar to saying once a Mother, always a Mother. You just “get it” when someone mentions that role.

My mom has been gone for almost two years. I see her in me every day. I think of her almost everyday. She is always with me and our journey over the last few years of her life has had a major effect on me. I am always thinking about the lessons of those years and the compelling force that let me to write our story. We You Me is out there. It is our story. I hope it resonates with others who are facing the caregiver role.
